While most of the celebrity housemates wished for uber expensive Christmas presents like an HDTV for Gaby, a posh sound system for Mariel, laptops for Baron, Jon and Will or a piano for Riza, Ruben asked for his mom, granny and aunt to be reunited after their last meeting in the 70's. He almost felt envious yesterday when Ethel finally received her SLR digital camera but the long wait was truly worth it once he saw his loved ones on Christmas Eve.

Unbeknownst to him, the trio was already here in Manila even the night before that. His mom Mrs. Judith Gonzaga (accompanied by his partner Jessele Cabal) came all the way from Davao, his lola Mrs. Florencia Pugay from Cebu and his aunt Judith Famarin from Batangas. They stayed in different hotels and were even sent some home-cooked Pinoy meals for their noche buena courtesy of Ruben's culinary expertise.

Prior to that though, they were treated to a 100-second celebrity homecoming of their ex-housemates, who brought various goodies for them. Whatever misunderstandings they had before didn't matter anymore as they warmly hugged the people who have become second family to them. First off was Zara, followed by Mcoy, Megan, Donnie, Marylaine, Jen and Victor. The bubbly ex-26K Girl didn't even missed a chance to land Will a smack on the lips! On the other hand, Gaby's secret crush sadly noted that he couldn't watch them on TV for it still hurts him not to be with them.

Christmastime was such a perfect affair for our housemates except that Baron made a spectacle of himself for the second time! Against Big Brother's instructions, he still indulged on too many booze to the point that his housemates grew worried once more towards his wild behavior. Had he acted unforgivably this time? What will be his punishment for violating his penalty not to drink alcohol until the end of the program?

Mariel was immediately called inside the confession room upon the opening of the show. She was informed by Big Brother that this is the moment she has been anticipating since last week. The PBB host was of course torn for she has become good friends with her housemates but she also misses a lot of people in the outside world. Kuya gave her 100 seconds to say farewell to the HMs and told her to hasten for he could change his mind again and let her stay. Mariel hugged, kissed and thanked each and everyone then tearfully made her way to the double doors leading to the eviction hall. Toni and Bianca excitedly welcomed their co-host back. Mariel also immediately went back to work as an emcee, one of the things she missed terribly during her stint inside the house.

Toni then proceeded to this evening's top agenda. Riza was the first one relieved of her burden, receiving a total of 60.66% of the votes. Baron was saved next with 24.12% of the votes. Victor, who accepted his fate, also bade good-bye to his housemates. He was very excited to see his little brother on stage. He was also happy to have his foot imprints in the first Celebrity Walk of Fame. When asked what he has learned from his Big Brother experience, Victor shared he learned the value of teamwork, faith and open-mindedness. "Sa anumang pagsubok dapat sama-sama. Kapag low ang spirits, pray to the Lord. Never judge muna, dahil di mo alam yung taong hinuhusgahan mo, ok pala."

Meanwhile inside the house, Jon listened intently at the garden sliding doors as tonight's show closed. Could it be he's missing a certain houseguest already? Keep it here for more post-eviction news. Also, catch the housemates go through another nomination process! Who will be tomorrow's nominees?

Yesterday, it was Victor and Riza's turn to shine as they were both hand-picked by Big Brother to embark on a weight-boarding challenge at Lago de Oro resort in Calatagan, Batangas. The two were off to their destination even before the sun was up, leaving the housemates unsuspecting as to their latest endeavor As soon as they arrived, their trainor Beyan Modrigo prepared them for the sport by letting them ride the boards on their knees, all the while being dragged around the beach. Only after they mastered that were they able to try it in a standing position. Victor however managed to execute it perfectly on the first shot! Hence, he was rewarded a phone call with his baby brother JM Basa for winning this task.

Back on the big yellow house, Jon and Mariel were having their kilig moments on the sofa. Opting to sleep, the lovebirds shared the comforters that Riza and Victor left. Big Brother intervened however, claiming that using those was tantamount to moving his property without his permission which is not allowed in his rule book. Later, the English Outcast was called in the confession room again, where he became privy regarding Mariel's impending "eviction" tomorrow! He can't tell her this though or else, he would face an automatic nomination. With that breaking news in mind, he used the remaining time to spend quality time with his bestfriend in the PBB world. Unknown to him, Baron was also given this information. The only difference is that the Wild Child can't be as sweet as Jon can be towards Mariel.

Meanwhile, all their worries in effect of the Makati standoff were set aside as they played an informative game in connection with the World AIDS Day friendly reminder to practice safe sex through abstinence, loyalty to a partner and the use of protection. Anyway, Team A boasted of Baron, Gaby, Ruben, Riza and Will while Team B comprised Donnie, Jon, Mariel, Victor and Yayo with Gladys as host. Each member of the group simply had to move fast in answering the questions which were divided into three categories: general, personal and naughty. As such, the housemates wildest acts were revealed to everyone. Baron for instance had his first sexual encounter when he was only 12 years old. On the other hand, Jon did it at the park at the age of 15 while Riza was busted about educating herself through a Kamasutra book for her to be ready when the right time comes. Team A won with 5 points, leaving their opponents on the losing end with only 2 points.

No doubt about it, the celebrity housemates are definitely keeping us all entertained with their escapades. However, three of them are in danger of being evicted tomorrow! Who among the Wild Child, the Lonely Dreamboy and the Desirable Diva deserve an extended stint?

Spending the entire holiday season without their loved ones proved to be terrible news for the celebrity housemates. The unexpectedness of which coupled by the plans they have surely made for Christmas certainly hit them hard. After all, most people really look forward to the Yuletide season. As such, staying this long may be the biggest challenge that they are going to face, even with the enormous incentives at the end of their journey.

In truth, Yayo claimed that she half-expected this already ever since their newscasting stint for the Pinoy Big Balita. Though of course, its impact last night was distressing all the same. Up to this morning, Victor still feels downcast about it. Perhaps he was thinking of his intention beforehand to attend the misa de gallo for the first time, among other things. Seeing how he is at the moment, Mariel asks him what she can do to cheer him up, only to be distracted by Baron's funny plea to lighten his mood instead.

It seems that the Wild Child is the least worried of them all as he goes on teasing Will regarding his chosen candidate for nomination today. As usual, Big Brother is doing the rounds and Baron insists that the True Lover nominated him this time. Will merely laughs it off, knowing too well that talking about such things is prohibited. However, the Pasaway Actor quips that he can just wait for this edition's DVD copy anyway to see if Will had put him at risk.

As Donnie says, the whole nomination process is truly difficult no matter how many times they have done it in the past. He can only hope that this week wouldn't be as emotionally-draining as the previous days have been. With the HOH power still in the hands of the True Lover though, who among his housemates will be unlucky enough to receive an automatic nomination? More importantly, will some of them opt to quit because of the shocking extension of their seclusion in the most famous abode in the land?

More changes are set to happen inside the big yellow house this week! Aside from tonight's new set of nominees, the housemates will be seeing a new houseguest, former housemates and also new ones.

First housemate on the line for the 5th nomination night is Baron, who just recently was instated back inside the house by the public after a trial by Big Brother. Now that he has gained separate HM status from his brother Donnie, he's placed again in the danger zone for the others felt he has already learned a lot from his stay in Big Brother's abode. He also got on some of the housemates nerves for being a bit too clumsy. Do the housemates think one Geisler inside the house is enough?

Riza was next and the Desirable Diva could not hide the disappointment in her face. The other celebs feel that she's too vain and that she already has a career outside waiting for her. For Riza, who's living alone in Manila, the house has become her home in the country. Will she be leaving her new found family so soon?

Victor, on the other hand, was placed on the nomination block by current head of household Will Devaughn. Because of last week's mock nomination, Will still had the power to automatically nominate a housemate. He chose Victor because he felt that his fellow model really wanted to leave the house.

The excitement of the night does not end there however for Kuya has just introduced a new houseguest, thinking his housemates are feeling a bit lonely. Actress Angel Locsin awed the HMs upon her entrance. She is currently being oriented by Mommy Yayo, Donnie and Ruben about their daily routines. Angel is already feeling at home for she has just attacked with soap and water some plates and glasses in the kitchen sink. She shares that in her own home, she can't resist washing anything left in the sink. Will she fill the void Ethel and Mcoy left with their sudden exit?

More changes are set to happen inside the big yellow house this week! Aside from tonight's new set of nominees and celebrity house guest, the housemates will be seeing former housemates and also new ones. It's another roller coaster week on PBB.

Yesterday wake up call signaled the 18 Roses Marathon of the celebrity housemates for Mommy Yayo's fresh debutante. It was kind of funny how she recognized the Waltz then later realized that it's her daughter's birthday! Much later, Big Brother conveyed through Mcoy how she's entitled to give her grown up girl a present after accomplishing a nonstop 18-hour cotillion dance. Fortunately, everyone enjoyed doing their part until way after midnight.

On the other hand, Victor's absence during the day was a result of his detainment after taking some chips from the storage room, beyond the allotted time given to them last Sunday. Somehow mirroring Will, Mariel and Marylaine's imprisonment before, Victor was asked to peel off heaps of small potatoes inside the punishment room. Naturally, he felt bad since he missed all the action outside. And while doing the chore, he dozed off, only to be awakened by Big Brother's booming voice which he mistook as God's! It was only after 11 hours before he was finally free to join all the fun. But even as he took his place on the dance, he managed to cook mashed potatoes for them to eat!

Meanwhile, Baby Poshy's having a difficult time with all the baby talk as well as her cramped condition inside the crib. Good thing she had her "parents" to look after her well-being. However, it became clear that she preferred Daddy Will more than Riza who happens to be a mere step-mom according to her. The Desirable Diva even shared this to Big Brother since she's uncertain how to implement discipline on her "child" if the latter's rejecting her affections. Then the True Lover came to his conclusion that perhaps Baby Poshy has a crush on her daddy!

Mariel first did a tap dance number with Victor and Megan. Victor was the one who taught Mariel how to tap dance since the Lonely Dreamboy had been studying the moves since he was in high school after seeing the Australian film "Bootmen." At first, Mariel was reluctant in learning tap dance, but after a series of rehearsals with Victor, she managed to put on a great show for her housemates.

Afterwards, Mariel faced her worst fear when she took the microphone and sang with Mcoy. Mariel sang "If Ever I See You Again," the housemates' eviction-theme originally composed by the Musikerong Daddy himself. Mcoy played the guitar and sang back-up to help Mariel. Despite a couple of mishaps, Mariel was able sing, although she failed to hold back the tears because of the song's touching lyrics. Finally, Mariel showed her tough side as she showcased some basic taekwondo moves with Donnie. With Donnie's 7th place win in the 2004 Athens Olympics, there was no other housemate who can best teach Mariel all those kicks and punches. Despite her size, Mariel proved that she can also be rough and hard. After the show, all the celebrity housemates cheered Mariel for the simple yet meaningful achievement of hers. Mariel thanked everyone for she wouldn't have been able to perform without their help.

Learning From Mistakes

However, it became clear that she preferred Daddy Will more than Riza who happens to be a mere step-mom according to her. The Desirable Diva even shared this to Big Brother since she's uncertain how to implement discipline on her "child" if the latter's rejecting her affections. Then the True Lover came to his conclusion that perhaps Baby Poshy has a crush on her daddy!

Big Brother merely warned them though about their young one's unexpected behavior like being able to stand by herself while singing. By this time, Ruben even quipped, "Baby ka ba or G.R.O.?" Despite all these hilarious antics, Ethel later revealed in the confession room how depressing her situation is, knowing that she has been desperate to have a baby ever since. And Yayo's sacrifice for her daughter further rubs her inability to do so, she tearfully uttered. Moreover, she disliked being a burden to both Will and Riza, who lost their chance to get to know each other more because the Ultimate Pasaway was with them during their movie date.

On All Souls Day, Big Brother found a way for some of his residents to ease the pain of losing the chance to be with their loved ones when they passed away from this world. Through the fax machine, he sent blank obituaries for Baron, Donni, Victor and Riza to as part of the symbolic ritual of letting go that they were about to do.

At the same time, they were given some time to do artworks in remembrance of the deceased's legacy to them, which they later presented to the housemates. First off was Rizza who lost her nineteen-year-old nephew just before she entered the prestigious yellow house. Behind all her poise is a grieving heart for failing to attend his wake in Canada. Together with Toni, she made her goodbye ritual at the rooftop of ELJTower where she freed two balloons as a symbol of coming to terms with his violent death.

Coming from his father's second family, Victor regretted not trying his best to see him before his life support was unplugged way back in 2002. At La Mesa Ecopark, she was aided by Mariel as he uttered the words of forgiveness to a dad who wasn't there when he was growing up. And so he threw the ashes of his obituary onto the woods with a lighter heart.

Meanwhile, Baron and Donnie's rite involved dropping their message-in-a-bottle by the river. In their case, they were both busy with a taping and a Taekwondo competition in Japan when their father died of multiple organ failure. Though the Wild Child consistently visited his remains on the columbarium, he confessed that he goes there drunk most of the time. As such, this was the only time he was sober as he paid his respects to him.

Day 18 was certainly a time of goodbyes as Toni Gonzaga also made her heartbreaking exit as a celebrity house guest. And by tomorrow, she may be back on her hosting job again! Like what she said to Big Brother, she really learned so much from her extraordinary experience inside his abode, in the same way that she had shared a lot by just being who she really is.

Sunday Idleness

Posted In: , , , . By Blogtopia

Starting day 13 with Toni Gonzaga's 'Catch Me I'M Falling For You' as a wake up call made the housemates wish to stay in bed longer and perhaps catch such romantic dreams. But the sleepyheads soon roused and gathered on the living room to chat indolently while some of them managed to take few more naps. Being known personalities as they are though, "Sunday idleness" is not an excuse to forget about looking fit to be seen on cam knowing that their moves are constantly watched 24/7!

Megan, Mcoy, Ethel, Victor, Baron and Jon were conversing about being locked up on a room with their chosen person as company or a favorite hobby to keep them from getting bored when Big Brother suddenly called the Musikerong Daddy inside the storage room. It turned out that a comb lay in waiting there for Victor who sported a 'wolverine hairdo' this morning! Everyone laughed on the thought that maybe Kuya got an eyesore just by watching him. And yet, the boys also borrowed it for a quick fix.

For a minute they try to think of their normal routines out of the big yellow house. If Mcoy's usually having breakfast with his family, Victor said that he would still be stretched on his inviting bed until the late hours. But if he has an ASAP appearance, the Lonely Dreamboy explained that he should be out of the house by 8 AM for an early call time to rehearse a dance number or something.

Upon hearing this, Baron recalled how he used to be inside the ABS-CBN compound by that time together with John Lloyd Cruz and the other members of the then teen heartthrob group "Koolits". It was definitely a memorable phase of his life where they used to have breakfast and then do "number two" together, much to the hilarity of the Wild Child's listeners. He further recounted how they enjoyed what they call 'victory cigarettes' after every performance even if it was a bad one.

Meanwhile, the Princess of Charm became alarmed when she couldn't find Sugar inside the girls bedroom where she left it. Worse, she claimed that it smells like poo which worried her more for her Persian cat may have been the culprit! After checking every nook and cranny and she still didn't find anything, Yayo advised her to ask the housemates if they've seen it come after her on the sala earlier. Before she stressed herself out though, Big Brother finally intervened by telling Megan to check the cabinets again. True enough, Sugar was hiding on Gab's stuff of all places!

Megan quickly admonished her pet since the owner of her hideout is asthmatic, all the while transferring Sugar to her own dresser. Not long after that, she asked Kuya's residents to bid her cat goodbye. Because even though she's really happy to have it with her, she knew that it would only be a nuisance to them particularly those who are allergic to furs. With that, Victor told Sugar that her adorable presence made them happy even for a short while (as if he's really talking to a person). What's more, he asked it to say hello to Megan's sister for him!

Cowering from a simple punishment is not the way to go for Mariel, Marylaine and Will. In fact, they faced the worst of Big Brother annoyance in an instant and without much questions. And through it all, the housemates empathized with them by eating the fruits of their labor!

Having such star-studded residents under his roof doesn't mean that Kuya would be less stern when it comes to misbehavior. Definitely, he would not tolerate disobedience since he had warned them against violating his rules after all. As such, even his insider did not escape paying for her offense!
This season, a small detention cell is specifically designed for those who will be committing unpardonable blunders! The trio was first to experience being prisoners of their own faults. As it happens, the consequences that they've drawn from the fishbowl earlier required Will and Mariel to peel a bowl of lansones with the use of their mouth, while Marylaine is on her own, shedding the coat of squash seeds!
For several hours, the three worked their way through the heap of produce in front of them. Later, Mariel laughingly confided to Ethel how she told Will that she could have traded her place to Riza for him to enjoy the penalty that they served. But it seems that their tandem was just perfect for they were able to finish the awkward and sticky task in a collected manner.

Soon after that, they asked the surprised housemates to consume what they have prepared as per Big Brother instructions. Jon picked one but before he could swallow it, Mariel stopped him in time, warning him about how they peeled its skin! Though the lot of them were unaffected by this, they eventually agreed to rinse the skinned fruits. Gab did the job with Baron and Victor. The pasaway actor even commented how it's alright to eat something which has a drool of a girl than a boy's.
Meanwhile, the Brainy Babe still remained inside the improvised prison, finishing half of the bowl's contents. Though alone on her toil, she uncomplainingly continued to bite the stuff while belting out tunes that come to her mind. To be sure, once she's up, the housemates will have it as munchies again!

In her first 24 hours inside the house, Mariel Rodriguez got the chance to talk to her ex-PBB co-host, Bianca Gonzalez live on Uber. Mariel, now a celebrity houseguest, revealed that although she had a very emotional reaction to yesterday's incident, she believes that he stay inside the house has a purpose. She then expressed her full trust on her family and her manager, Mr. Boy Abunda, with their decision to make her live inside the PBB house. After seeing the video of Tito Boy yesterday in which he explained why he had it all planned out, Mariel is now focused on her mission. Furthermore, the former Kapitbahay Ni Kuya said that she is very thankful for the warm welcome that the housemates gave her despite her hysterical state. So far, Mariel said that she appreciates all of the housemates, and that she misses her friends and family in the outside world.

This afternoon's episode was also very special because of an extravagant dance number courtesy of the 7K! Yes, all the seven male celebrity housemates -- Baron, Donnie, Victor, Will, Ruben, Mcoy, and Jon were dressed in pink sexy dresses complete with make-up, accessories, and wigs. With huge suitcases in their hand, they all danced to the tune of the Deal of No Deal music like a true 26K girl!

10 housemates are already in the house and they are:

Jen Da Silva - Also one of the 26K girls, who will be paired with Marylaine Viernes, they will be playing together as if they were one person, if one gets nominated, the other gets on the nomination block too. Dubbed as a total war freak, the former 26K girl is not afraid to speak her mind and this is what often gets her into trouble. Not one to back down, Jen has developed this tough exterior being the bread winner of her family at the age of 9.

Donnie Geisler- Baron's big brother, Taekwondo champ and member of the Philippine Team. Donnie has made the country proud for the numerous medals he has won in various competitions around the globe. He is a surprise HM like Jen. Unknown to Baron. He and Baron were pretty tight as children so instead of leaving for the US with his son, he opted to stick it out with his brother here some more.
