Our celebrity housemates took a break from their exhausting pictorial weekly task to focus on a much important occassion. They only have a day to prepare for Ruben's church wedding, and on top of their to-do list is the very special wedding cake. As soon as the wake up call sounded, the girls immediately put on their aprons and started working in the kitchen. Knowing how baking one carrot walnut cake can take half a day, the housemates began baking early in anticipation of any mishaps in the process, just to make sure that Ruben's wedding cake will be made in time.

Ethel spearheaded the baking task, given her knack for cooking and other household chores. Meanwhile, Gaby assisted the sexy-comedienne in preparing all the ingredients and tools they need for baking. It seemed that Ms. Penk was right when she told Big Brother in the confession room that among the girls, the Ultimate Pasaway and the Racing Goddess have the potential in becoming baking divas. On the other hand, Riza showed her eagerness to help in this important task by taking charge of the dough. The Fil-Canadian beauty queen got all tough and strong as she molded the dough on the glass table. As expected, Will decided to help out Riza with her portion of the task.

Although she had some trouble remembering the lecture of Ms. Penk, Mariel still made herself useful by helping out Jon with peeling and grating all the carrots, plus, adding creative icing touches on the cake. However detailed and complex Ms. Penk's lecture was a couple of days ago, it's good to know that our celebrity housemates are able to remember all the right procedures.

But it is still a question whether the final cake will appeal to the taste of Ruben, his bride and their guests.

The housemates presented the story of Honey Lee (voiced by Gladys) who is secretly in love with Sashimi (voiced by Baron) who is from the rival Wasabi family. Unable to say her true feelings, Honey Lee found herself in the middle of misfortunes brought about by the grudge of her Lee family over the Wasabi family. We saw all the housemates do multiple voice impersonations and sound effects improvisations along the story which proved how they can be so talented and creative in every weekly task.

Overwhelmed with so much joy, the housemates jumped off the couch after Kuya announced how he loved their presentation. This means that they have a P9,000 budget for next week which they can spend on any goods they want, whether a necessity or luxury. All the housemates hugged and congratulated one another for the effort they placed into the task. In spite of the misunderstandings and squabbles that rocked their relationship, they were finally able to prove that anything is possible if they decide to stick it together. To mark their victory, they began planning what to buy tomorrow once Big Brother allowed them to do their weekly grocery.

Our celebrity housemates only have a few days left to practice for the Wheelchair Basketball weekly task. To help the housemates in getting ready for the big ball game, Big Brother brought in Coach Noel to teach the basics and guidelines of wheelchair basketball. The expert trainer then shocked the housemates with the news that by the end of this week, they will have to face the national wheelchair basketball team in a 3-on-3 game.

According to Coach Noel, the same rules of regular basketball also apply in the wheelchair basketball. However, some of the time guidelines were modified to give the players more time in pushing the wheelchairs. Coach Noel emphasized to the housemates that they can only push their chairs twice, and after that, they have to dribble the ball on their sides. Should they push thrice, they will be charged with a traveling violation. It is also important for our housemates to make sure that no part of the lower-half of their body will touch the floor. The final game will be held in the activity area and given the limited space, the housemates will only play in a 3-on-3 halfcourt game. The housemates, however, became concerned of the injuries that they might sustain while playing the game. Coach Noel then reminded everyone to be careful in pushing the chairs as their fingers might get caught in the wheels.

All the players then immediately got on the wheelchairs to get the hang of the real game. But after some time of shooting the ball on the ring, most of them began feeling the strain on their upper bodies as their waist and legs remained stationary all throughout the game.

If there's one thing that a housemate will learn inside the PBB house, it's learning how to improvise during desperate times. During the presentation of the "Lipad Chopper Lipad" task, our celebrity housemates used their wild imagination in winning this weekly task. Instead of using the remote control in flying the toy choppers, everyone, out of frustration, just held the choppers in their hand and passed it from one helipad, then through the series of loops, and finally, to the landing helipad. However, Big Brother did not allow the housemates to fly away with cheating, and he declared the weekly task a failure. But Kuya admitted that he had a great time watching the wacky flight tricks, so he handed the housemates a prize for their creativity.

Baron was the first to take the control, but on his first try, the blue chopper lost power, so the Wild Child tried his luck on the red chopper. But right after starting the control, the red chopper instantly crashed to the ground. Convinced that he will not be able to do the task, Baron frustratingly picked the chopper guided it across the loops and into the landing pad with his bare hands. Everyone laughed at Baron's foolish antics, but realizing that the trick made sense, they also employed the same tactic.

In the end, the housemates just decided to play around with the task without even worrying about the 75% bet that they were about to lose, as if what was more important was for all of them to have fun. Ethel even reasoned that according to Kuya's instructions, the choppers must get through the loops and land on the helipad, but there was no mention that they must use the control. Jon even took the helipad and used it to toss the chopper through one loop to another. But of all the madness in the crazy task, it was Will and Baron's act that was the winner. Will moved the chopper around like a true helicopter in an action flick, and as added fun, Baron stepped up on one building and pretended like King Kong. It was an impressive acting that Big Brother later commented "Baron, may hawig!"

But all in all, Kuya was disappointed with the turn out of the task. He then announced the heartbreaking crash failure of all the housemates. At first, Kuya thought of handing Php 1,500 worth of budget for next week. But to everyone's surprise, Big Brother decided to give out two special awards worth Php 500 each. Baron was hailed as Best Supporting Actor for his King Kong performance, while Will earned the title of Most Creative Flight. As a total budget for next week, our celebrity housemates will have Php 2,500.

Still on cloud-nine after their successful Housemates For Inmates: Celebrity Concert For A Cause, our celebrity housemates will once again brave another challenging task for this week. This time around, all of them will have to take a crash-course in becoming chopper pilots! Big Brother relayed to Ruben the instructions for their "Lipad Chopper Lipad" weekly task. Ruben then gathered all the housemates to talk about the task and how much of their budget are they going to bet for this week.

The housemates only have until Friday to learn how to fly a radio-controlled toy chopper and land it on a specific location. Kuya provided the chopper toys, and all that the HMs need to do is to follow the instruction manual in learning how to operate the gadget. If seven of them successfully manuever the toy chopper to the right direction, they will pass their weekly task. But it seems that dealing with a mechanical toy is a bigger challenge compared to staying awake for a week and putting up an extravagant concert, because the housemates all agreed to setttle only for a 75% bet. Everyone considered the possibility of errors and difficulty in familiarizing themselves with the controls of the toy, so they decided not to gamble everything.

When Ruben took out the RC toy choppers from the storage room, all the boys went crazy, excited to get their hands on the cool kiddie toy. On the other hand, the girls don't seem to get what's the fuss about the hovering, battery-charged toy. They just allowed the boys to study the toy and later teach them how to go about it. Then on Big Brother's signal, the boys and Mommy Yayo head straight to the activity area to fly the chopper.

But in spite of the instructional manual, starting up the toy took much of their time, let alone keeping it in air. After a series of tries, however, the housemates got the hang maneuvering the RC chopper, and Mommy Yayo joined in with the boys.

Time Is Of Essence

Big Brother's plan for the next five days is a far cry from the interspersing challenges that we've witnessed last week. But if the housemates initially think that doing nothing is better than embarking on a frenzied activity, they now realize how difficult it is to sit still and wait for the signal to sleep.

Becoming a house guest at this point is certainly unfortunate for Toni Gonzaga who looked like she would go crazy with the tedium inside the big yellow house. She kept asking everyone if it's always like this. Later, she realized that the absence of tasks is what makes things dull at the moment. Gab agreed saying that though they usually fool around, hilarity comes spontaneously. As it is, laughter is hard to catch because of the pressure to stay on their feet.

Big Brother is now making them pay for being guilty of too much sleep on their part, hence, the Gising Na Gising Task. In this endeavor, they have to maximize the 25-hour limit of snoozing time throughout the whole week. Cheating is not possible because their in-house TV screen was turned into an electronic clock that will start ticking as soon as they doze off. Even power naps are counted so they agreed to refrain from doing so as this is a team effort.

With a long stretch of time to kill, they thought of playing games like Truth or Dare or Patintero. But the majority opted to simply resume their nonstop chat about anything under the sun. Toni advised however that they should keep their conversations light and easy. Because if they go emotional on each other, they will surely sleep heavily throughout the night.

Actually, they already have a game plan to ensure that they would win, given that they risked a hundred percent bet for this challenge. They decided to sleep from 1 a.m. until 6:00 a.m.

A Holloween Success

In between the housemates weekly tasks are Big Brother's interweaving daily challenges which we all look forward to since they enable us to catch a more personal glimpse into their varied personalities. Week 2 has been an exciting roller coaster ride for them as they struggled to rise above the emotionally-draining tasks as well as the ones that tested their physical capabilities.
Like a dam that suddenly broke, their heartaches flowed out of them as they learn to open up to each other. They also realize that being a housemate is no mean feat but most of them continue to fight for that right for the sake of their families or to simply prove their self-worth. Homesickness certainly took its toll on them so they grabbed the chance to send their love to their families yesterday after their Magic Carpet Ride.

But no matter how heavy their individual burdens are, nothing beats their moments of triumph after surpassing Big Brother's valuable lessons. Through them, they discover their strengths and their responsibility to look beyond their own comfort zones. And tonight, they were surged with pride as Big Brother gave his verdict to their Kaishou Taishou presentation!

It featured a story of courtship between two ordinary people who met on a bar. But as the shadow play unfolded, it became evident that they are manananggals after all! The housemates performed this simple but amazing pantomime just recently inside the confession room where all lights were turned off to make it appear that their props are floating between the main characters Ruben and Ethel. All the others were responsible for holding the cardboard stars, hearts, wine glasses and the words that the couple exchanged while the song Can't Take My Eyes Off You was played.

As it happens, they agreed on a specific criterion which equally comprised originality, coordination, entertainment value and choreography. After keeping them in suspense for a while, Kuya happily announced that they got 82% for all their efforts. And with that, they won their fifty percent bet which brought them a total of P12,000 for their weekly budget!
This joyous news however was linked with Big Brother's unfortunate announcement that the cost of the glass (P500) and candelabra (P2,500) that Baron and Mariel broke few days ago would be reduced from their winnings! The two immediately felt bad but the others soothed their feelings by saying that they don't blame for what was an honest mistake and besides, they still received a reasonable sum after all. Still, Kuya's mole protested on the charged amount for the candleholder. But the master of the big yellow house only remarked that he would give her the receipt if she wanted proof of its price.

Monday morning began with a brand new task for our celebrity housemates. This time, the housemates' creativity and acting talent will be put into a test via Big Brother's Live Fairy Tale. At the signal of the fairy tale sound effects, everyone was instructed to pick their desired costume in the storage room and were given five minutes to get dressed. Whatever costume they wore, they must assume the fairy tale character with the personality twist.

After the instructions were handed out, our celebrity housemates hurriedly picked their costumes. Gaby becomes the boyish and ill-tempered Snow White, Ruben the dancing Dwarf, Ethel the flirty Wicked Witch, Victor the stuttering Prince Charming, Riza and Marylaine as the two co-starring Pigs, Baron the gay Big Bad Bear, Mariel the hyperactive Rapunzel, Jen as pessimistic Little Mermaid, Megan the narcissistic Goldilocks, Zara the itchy Cinderella, Donnie the nervous Ogre, Will the childish Troll, Mcoy the singing Robinhood, Yayo the socialite Mulan, and Jon as Harry Potter.

On Big Brother's signal, the narration began, and the celebrity housemates immediately acted out their chosen characters. They followed whatever it was the narrator asked their character to do, improvising dialogues to keep the story flowing. They were also allowed to pick any props available inside the house according to what the narrator says. The spontaneous and fun presentation began in the garden then moved into the kitchen as each and every character interacted with one another. When it was time for lunch, Kuya gave our celebrity housemates a break to eat.

However, the fairy tale is yet to see its happily ever after ending. Once the fairy tale sound effects goes on again, they will need to switch costumes and no one is allowed to wear the same costume twice. How will the housemates keep up with this fast-paced and unpredictable task?
